About Joyce’s Ireland Hiking Tours
Welcome to the Ireland of my dreams and, I hope, yours.
I started running Joyce’s Ireland Hiking Tours in 1994 and soon realised that this was the best decision I’d ever made. I have managed to convert what was essentially a passionate hobby into a small, well-run business. I suffered from “wanderlust” and have travelled extensively since my teens.
From the experiences I gained on my own journeys I have devised itineraries that are both empathetic to the travellers needs and sympathetic to the environment.
You will enjoy hiking the wide, sweeping expanses of Ireland’s beaches; her lonely mountain trails, her windswept hills, the soulful air of her traditional music and the warm, smiling welcome of her people.
I hope we meet this year; but if not, maybe one day in the future.

Joyce's Ireland Guides
Most of the tours are run by me, but with the assistance of local guides who are experts in their particular location.
These guides are carefully chosen for their professionalism, their caring and courteous natures, and of course, their sense of fun.
Joyce’s Ireland’s Walking Tour guides are experienced hikers and guides with an excellent knowledge of their areas.

Joyce’s Ireland Hosts
I have worked with most of the guest houses, B&B’s and hotels that we frequent for the best part of twenty years.
Our hosts and hostesses at these establishments are what makes Ireland famous for it’s fabulous “Cead Mile Failte” or “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes”.
Our lodgings are lovingly maintained by hosts welcoming you into their family home, or family run hotel.
They provide you with a warm comfortable room, a hearty breakfast and a welcoming smile when you come in from the hills.
